Tag it/ ATC's and cards for trade

First off, I was tagged by Natasha Burns
for the thinking blogger award-yay! Thanks:)
So in turn i have to tag 5 blogs that I love-which is hard-have you seen my sidebar list! LOL!
So I am going to pick the blogs that MOST inspire me, that I visit daily and that I just love, it is always hard doing this and you don't want to offend someone by leaving them out!! Trust me, this is always hard..
Okay in no apparent order:

1) Secrets of a Butterfly
Or Kathryn as she is known as is amazing. I have had the priveledge of getting to know her and do some art trading with her. She has an amazing story behind her life which is not mine to share, but she inspires me and she is so sweet.

2) Vintage Home (Clare) I just love her beautiful pictures and pretty blog.

3) My sister
because she is my sister and I love her and I think her digital lay out's are beautiful as well as the freebies she makes.

4) Doris Caslte
because I love her work and I think her kits are just so beautiful. I have bought a few and they are really awesome to work with.

5) Monica Andrade
she has some amazing talent and I recently was privileged to do a goodie swap with her.

CORRECTION: the origin of this comes from The thinking blog,
If you want to check it out. The rules are:
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
3. Optional: Proudly display the 'Thinking Blogger Award' with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn't fit your blog).

I have uploaded some new ATC's and cards for trade on my flickr account.
Here are some :
If you would like to trade me I will accept a card, a ATC or any other art piece that you have made yourself for whatever you choose.

Im back with photo's!!

Hello! Well we had a fantastic 4 day holiday! A very busy fun-filled time.
Friday we left around 6:50am. About two hours into our journey we stopped at a town called Montagu, where we had breakfast in a cute little coffee shop and then went outside to see the garden.
I will be scrapping with a lot of the photos I took so you will get to see them in the weeks ahead.
For now going to share a few, to see them larger (much better) I advise you to click on the photo's to open them up.

Along the way my poor Emma puked about 3 times. She was car sick, the caravan did not have a stabilizer on the tow bar which made the buckie wobble from side to side and I don't think her stomach (especially after the big egg breakfast we had)could handle it! ) So we stopped three times to change and clean her up! What fun!

The scenery along the way (about a 5 hour drive, but we stopped etc, took us 8 hours!) is beautiful. Rolling hills, cows and sheep grazing, still ponds and lakes reflecting the mountains and blue sky. Lot's of craggy rocks and interesting rock formations. We went over a few passes with breath taking views.
I stopped to take these pictures.

We stayed at a place just outside a town called Sedgefield, at a holiday resort called Lake Pleasant. The caravan park is set in amongst the trees. It has a pool and a park, and natural wooded areas left untouched by man for walks.
This is our campsite and our tent/caravan.
The kids could ride their bikes up and down on the little paved road right by the tent with no cars coming and going.

Saturday after a healthy egg and bacon breakfast we set off for the day. We had to go to the laundromat to get the puke-filled clothes washed and dried ( those poor people when they opened that bag! I had washed off the large "bits" (yum! lol) but the smell was still there!
Then my dear hubby dropped me off at a paper scrap book shop which I love as it has so much more than we do here and I got a whole stack of supplies. Whilst he took the kids and went to buy a cricket and badminton set. We then found a nature reserve and stopped there for our picnic and played some games with the kids.
From there we went to one of my favorite places. A river tucked away that surprises you as you come over the bridge. Lush green forests cascading down to the waters edge, and a bend in the river that leaves you wondering what lies around the corner...
We saw that they were offering canoe rides (notice how they spell canoe!) for an hour a shot, so we grabbed the opportunity, no one else was there. My hubby and son hoped in one while I took some pictures and then my daughter and I in another one. We had great fun. It was the first time for my kids, so they were terribly excited. I loved every second of it. My hubby was so kind and went back to fetch the camera for me as I could feel it was quiet safe to have it around my neck whilst on the canoe and I managed to get some lovely shots while trying to paddle with one arm and take pictures with the other!

The rocks on the side are filled with gorgeous ferns, little nooks and crannies, holes, caves, trees and shrubbery tumbling off. The water in places is clear and you can see the pebbles and rocks beneath the water. All you can hear is the splashing of your paddle in the water and the seemingly hundreds of birds that adorn the tree tops. It is magical. I love nothing better in nature than forests and the sounds of birds. We saw some beautiful birds too. Coming around the corner we came across a waterfall thundering down. The sound a deafening roar. It was amazing, as you paddle past, you can feel a soft shower of fine mist on you face. Emma giggled...I think I did too....:)

The next day we took a drive and saw some beautiful views. We also went to a forest called "The garden of Eden" which was lovely.

We had a picnic in the forest and then headed to the beach.

The above photo is from a postcard.
This is called the Beacon Isle Hotel and we stayed here on our honeymoon 8 years ago.

After washing off a ton of sand off our kids who swam fully clothed (well I forgot their costumes in the caravan!) We went to eat by the waterfront. Whilst there the bridge next to us came up to let some boats through, the kids were fascinated. We watched the sunset over an ice cold beer and enjoyed our last night.
the next day, Monday, we got up, had breakfast, packed up and spent the day traveling back.

I hope you enjoyed reading and seeing our holiday. Here are some postcards for you!
Will be back soon!

I love this place with it's lagoon's and rivers, little boats and jetty's and beautiful sunsets.
