I tried it and here is what it looked like.
It is a braid that starts at the top and goes diagonally across the back of your head. Really, were it not for this tutorial, I would never have tried this. I have long hair and while I love wearing it down. (especially in winter-keeps me warm!) I often get bored with it and "up" styles are so hard to manage to do on your own. But I really want to experiment more as I have the hair to try many different styles with and I love braids. (not the usual little girl style) but sort of in an up-style. I think it can look so romantic and soft and pretty.
Have a look at Love Megyns blog, her blog is full of such hair tutorials and she makes it really easy to follow. I am sure with a lot more practice, I can do a better job of this one!Just a quick question: When you comment on someone's blog, does it matter to you if you don't get a personal reply via email or a comment left on your blog or even a reply to your comment on the blog you left it on?
I was just wondering what the general feeling on this is....if you can take a moment to let me know, I would appreciate it!

Hey Bon, beautiful style! I tried looking on the blog (and the link you sent in an email to megyn's blog an my pc won't let me!! But i really love it! almost makes me wish to grow my hair long again, but I am bad at up do's! i can do a ponytail, that's it!! I even struggle just to straighten it!! So glad i have boys!!
Re: commenting.
i personally never expect a reply.if someone I don't know leaves a comment on my blog or says something that needs a response I will go to their blog and leave a comment for them. I've not really thought about it.
I've never had anyone email me after I have commented on their blog. But a few times some have commented on my blog after I left comments on theirs.

As far as comments well I treat people the way I want to be treated and that is that I answer every comment with a personal email. I don't answer within my comments because then that means that person has to come back to check my blog post for a response. Which I find a lot of work and I don't want to make it work for people who do leave comments. I answer every comment because that's what I learned/read about over 4 years ago when I started blogging that it was "proper" blog etiquette. Hope this helps.

I don't expect a reply, but it is very special when you do take the time. No one can expect you to reply to every comment though. I don't have a blog, but I am sure that comments help you feel that there are really live people out there listening to what you have to say.

I never expect replies (email or comment-wise) when I comment on people's blogs, but it's always nice when they do! I try to reply in some way to ones left on my blog, especially when people ask questions, but I'm pretty horrible at keeping up with it. For shame. I know it must make me seem rude, but I really do enjoy reading them!

Love the hairstyle Bonnie, I seriously think you were born in the wrong era, you should have been born in the time of long flowing dresses and romantic hairstyles! I really don't expect replies, not everyone has the time to reply to all comments via email, I certainly don't. I agree with the facebook comment, I was never a fan but now that I have it it is so easy to answer people or reply to comments, takes a second!Also a good way to promote your business and arty stuff. I would never have Monty if it wasn't for facebook! Have a good weekend (It is freezing here!!)
