No suggestions or recipes?? I bought this recipe book which is brilliant for Winter cooking- my kind of easy cooking for a large family - "Homestyle Casseroles + one-pots", got it from @ Home!

Hi Bonnie,

I've been looking for your e-mail, but I can't find it :(

Although I live in the hottest city of my country (Maracaibo, Venezuela), we love to have soup for lunch or dinner :)

Have you tried zucchini soup? what about pumpkin soup? We cook from scratch, so I don't have specific quantities... but here it goes:

Boil enough zucchini or pumpkin (I usually add a lot of zucchini to make a thick soup), half an onion, fresh parsley, coriander, and a pinch of salt... when tender, put the veggies in the blender with the same water you use it to boil it and mix it until it is very creamy... add more salt and pepper to the taste, and voilá! you have a delicious soup! you can also add any type of herbs or other condiments you like, you can use chicken or beef broth instead of water... you even can add a bit of milk or cream to it for a bit of consistency...

Normally, I use chicken broth, but if I don't have any, I just use the the same water I boiled it with (because the fresh parsley and the coriander gives it a good taste, if you don't have any of this available, just the onion will do).

Serve it with a bit of parmesan cheese or diced mozzarella cheese on top :p :)
