It seems the maintenace shmaintenance thing rubbed off in other areas too and I decided to my blog needed a bit of sprucing up, a face-lift. So I have a new blog header, a new footer (scroll all the way to the end of the blog!) Made these two myself *ahem*
The cute little blog buttons I got for free from shabbyblogs. *thank you kindly*
So my little blog is looking rather gleaming too...
I know I have some readers who are not South African and I wanted to share with you one of my favorite local South African magazines. It is called Ideas. I buy this magazine every month without fail and have been doing so for many years. It always has something of interest in it every month.

Crafts, hobbies, sewing, knitting, crochet, gardening, business and financial advice, recipes and lots more. What is great about this magazine is that it stays clear of your trashy run-of-the-mill magazines that think sex is the only thing that sells. It is a real magazine, grounded, fresh and solid.
I think you would enjoy it .
*by the way I do not get any type of payment for saying this nor am I in any way affiliated with Ideas mag, it's just my opinion! *
You can download a digital version for cheap here.
Payable by credit card from any country. There is also a sneak peek at the mag!
Have a good weekend!

Bonnie, your blog is looking BEAUTIFUL! Wow, gleaming indeed...and very fresh...love it! I also LOVE the Ideas mag and should think of getting it sent to me in London town. Happy weekend!
love the new look! :) thanks for the magazine recommendation. i love finding new sources of inspiration! :)
Hi Again Bon, Love the blog spruce up, it looks lovely and fresh and pretty.
i wish there was a mag like that here in England, i hate those trashy sex and fashion and celebrity filled mags that fill our shelves. i recent came across a lovely mag called Mollie Makes its only in its 2nd edition, and i want to save up for a subscription to that, as its all crafty things, but i would like a more homey, housewife, mothering kind of mag aimed a women in their 30's. we have 'Good Housekeeping' here but last time I got it i felt too young for it, all about menopause and hrt!!haha!
but I also find that magazines always just make me want more things! hee hee!
and I'm tring really hard to cut down on the clutter and spending in our home!
but also my letters to you are decisively bland since i stopped buying magazines so prehaps I shold get them for the cutting up and sticking in my letters to you!! haha!
hope you are well, love Em Xx
Love the new look blog, have a happy weekend!!xxx
Hi Bon- Love the new blog look!
And I can also vouch for Ideas being a fabulous magazine! I buy it faithfully each month and devour every single word and picture from cover to cover!
Have a great Sunday! Vxx
Love the new blog look...very spiffy! It's cleaner looking and very fresh...if that's the look you wanted...you did a great job :) I hear you on how so many magazines are just selling sex...I recently stop subscribing to a few woman's magazines here because every article was based on "how to please your man" or "how to be sexy at every age"...etc. Very boring after a while...there is so much more to life than that. btw...did you ever get my email on the Romantic Home article?
I like your new blog look!
Hi Bonnie, So nice to find a South African crafter in blogland. Your blog is lovely and I am going to enjoy browsing. Hope you'll visit mine too. hugs Sharon
