Stellenbosch : Botanical Gardens I Jamie's Gift

Hello friends
I hope you are all well and enjoying the arrival of your spring, or, like me, the cooler weather our Autumn here brings us!

It is school holidays here and we are enjoying the quiet days at home (and out and about).
I love school holidays. Remember when I said I couldn't wait for the next lot to come?
Well I can't believe the first term is over!

I am relishing the lovely lie-in mornings. Such a treat when I am used to waking up with the birds and getting lunches ready and packing school bags and putting make up on when I feel my eye lids still drooping closed!

Loving the early morning cuddles and having coffee brought to me by hubby♥ as I always bring him a cup every morning on school days. It's nice to have that special treat for me for a change. I wonder if he realizes just how much it means to me? I shall have to tell him!

I had a friend of mine kids over for the weekend. So it was a busy weekend with 4 children. When you only have 2 you realize just what a difference an extra child or two makes! But we so enjoyed it. We played some Bingo together and we baked shortbread cookies, they played endlessly the four or them and ended up having a "camp out" with all 4 mattresses in the lounge!

Yesterday we went to The lovely Botanical Gardens again in Stellenbosch. I so enjoy going there. It's free and it's beautiful! (Free is good in my books!)

Here are some photos I took whilst there.

Beautiful lady's slipper

Gorgeous Hot houses.

Remember I told you about the story of a dear friend of mine passing away last month?

And I made a little request...well I just wanted to thank Jamie for her kindness. Today I received some pre made scrap pages she kindly did for what I am calling the "Teno project".
Jamie, I am so grateful and so touched by your generosity. The pages are so beautiful and if you have seen Jamie's work, you would know that all she creates is just stunning. I am so inspired that lady!

It takes a special kind of someone so give so freely and generously of their time and resources for a complete stranger. One act of kindness can so greatly touch someone's life. I wish there were more Jamie's out there. So thank again, I cannot wait to add the photos and give the pages to the dad to add to his scrap book album!

And then she still sends me this gorgeous card and two beautiful tags! (all for me!!)

Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. Love the gardens and "free" is always good in my book as well...especially when it comes to beautiful places where you can just "be". Jamie did a great job on those pages...so happy for your project!
