I've developed quite an obsession with owl's lately.
I've always liked them. I find them to be really beautiful birds.
There is something so cute about creating them.
I made some hand painted owls for my kids quite a while ago.
So I have been making a lot of owls lately.
Crochet owls, owl tea cozies, Fabric owls, and a crocheted owl blanket.
I thought to share the owl tea cozies today. These are still a work in progress. I need to better the design. They are from my own pattern and design. They have an inner padding to keep the heat in. I wanted something vintage, whimsical and cute. Not just a boring tea cozy-but a conversation starter!
What do you think?
Again, something I am thinking of putting in my Etsy shop but not sure how they will be received. There is a lot of owl stuff out there, but I think the owl tea cozy, although not original, is my own take on it and made with my kind of style.
This is the back of one of them.I sewed on the word "courage" on as I think it would make a nice gift for someone who perhaps was going through a hard time and needed some uplifting.
They are made with a lot of vintage scraps sewn together, lace, felt and ribbon.
On the front of this one, it says "A mother's Love" and then you turn it over and it says "is forever".
So those are the tea cozies. I will be putting some into my shop in the future.
Would love to hear what you think about them!
Thanks!
